Our Craft
MADE CLOSE TO HOME
Every PRZE piece is designed, made, and finished in Los Angeles, passing through the hands of local artisans who bring decades of experience to their work.
Keeping production close allows us to stay closely involved from beginning to end. We get to see, touch, refine, and sometimes rethink a piece as it makes its way from an idea into something you can wear.
FROM SCREEN TO WAX
We use CAD software to design each piece digitally and have full creative control over the final form before moving to production.
Once a design is ready, each piece is individually 3D printed in wax at high resolution. Rather than creating a production mold from a master, we print a new wax for every piece we make, allowing the details and intricacies of the original design to carry directly into casting.
One digital design. One wax. One casting at a time.
CAST IN LOS ANGELES
Each wax is transformed into precious metal through the lost-wax casting process.
The wax disappears in the process, leaving behind the form that eventually becomes your piece. From there, the raw casting passes into the hands of our jewelers to be cleaned, worked, assembled, and prepared for finishing.
It's a process that brings together contemporary technology and a very old way of making jewelry—something we find particularly fitting for PRZE.
FINISHED BY HAND
Casting is only the beginning.
Each piece is individually worked and finished by a network of experienced specialists in Los Angeles. Surfaces are refined, components assembled, labor intensive glass enamel applied, metals plated and other specialty details are completed all by hand.
The result is an object that retains the precision of its digital origins while carrying the subtle character of each local artisans at every stage of its making.
SMALL BY DESIGN
We don't make thousands of anything.
PRZE is produced in small batches, with most pieces made to order. It allows us to make thoughtfully, stay close to the process, and avoid producing more than we need.
It also means your piece hasn't traveled through an anonymous mass-production line. It has moved through a small network of people here in Los Angeles who know their craft—and know our jewelry.
